Dr. Michael Beehner


Dr. Michael Beehner is an experienced surgeon specializing in Hair Transplant Surgery and Hair Restoration.

Dr. Beehner attended Loyola University for pre-med and completed medical school at The University of Illinois Medical School. Br. Beehner continued his education at Wesley Medical Center for Family Practice Residency, St. Francis Hospital & Univ. of Kansas Medical Center for General Surgery Residency and University of Wisconsin for Family Practice Residency. He is a board certified diplomate with The American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and The American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Beehner was also a proud member of the United States Public Health Service; National Health Service Corps from 1972 to 1974.

Dr. Beehner has received the following awards:

  • 2007 Manfred Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award: from the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.

  • 199 Platinum Follicle Award: Given annually for research accomplishments by the ISHRS

  • Dr. Beehner is a member of the following professional organizations:

Dr. Beehner has been in the full-time practice of hair restoration surgery since 1989. He resides in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. with his wife, Harrilyn. They have 4 children and 10 grandchildren.  Dr. Beehner’s interests outside of medicine include golf, magic, running, and prison ministry with the Catholic R.E.C. Program.

Dr. Keimun Slaughter


Dr. Keimun Slaughter was born in Pensacola, Florida and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he attended The University of Georgia as a biology premed Major and completed his medical school training at Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed 2 years of General and Vascular Surgery at Duke University Medical Center before completing his Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Residency at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

He decided to focus his training exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck and completed a 1-year fellowship under the directorship of past president Dr. Edwin Williams with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also completed additional training with emphasis on Hair Restoration Surgery under the directorship of Dr. Michael Beehner, a coalition member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and Platinum follicle recipient.

Dr. Slaughter is unique as a surgeon with dual board certifications in both Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a diplomate in both the AFPRS and ABOTO-HNS and an associate member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He has attained the highest level of credentialing afforded to his specialty.

Dr. Slaughter has received numerous awards throughout his training including excellence in teaching awards at both Duke and UNC and surgical dissection awards for his unparalleled technical surgical skill. He has authored several scientific publications including research articles and book chapters on various topics ranging from scar contracture scales, vascular lesions to hair graft survival rates. He is well respected by his peers and prides himself on detailed and compassionate patient care and meticulous surgical technique.

Dr. Slaughter is married to his college sweetheart, Shavonne and has 4 children, Olivia, Jackson, Ethan and Grayson. His interests outside of medicine include playing sports, cooking, trying new cuisine, traveling, saltwater aquariums, wine making and spending time with his friends and family.
