Dr. Keimun Slaughter was born in Pensacola, Florida, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended The University of Georgia as a biology premed Major and completed his medical school training at Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed 2 years of General and Vascular Surgery at Duke University Medical Center before completing his Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Residency at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Slaughter is unique as a surgeon with dual board certifications in both Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a diplomate in both the AFPRS and ABOTO-HNS and an associate member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He has attained the highest level of credentialing afforded to his specialty.
Dr. Slaughter has received numerous awards throughout his training including excellence in teaching awards at both Duke and UNC and surgical dissection awards for his unparalleled technical surgical skill. He has authored several scientific publications including research articles and book chapters on various topics ranging from scar contracture scales, vascular lesions to hair graft survival rates. He is well respected by his peers and prides himself on detailed and compassionate patient care and meticulous surgical technique.
